Dashni Murad
Murad first came to prominence as the host of the Kurdistan TV television program “Be Control” when she was 19. She also had her own program, The Dashni Show, a talk show where she spoke openly about issues of concern for women, including romantic relationships, a subject that remains taboo in Kurdish society
Dashni Murad released her debut album, Hela Hopa, in August 2009, she launched her second album in year 2010 titled “Shika Wawa”.
Her third album “Frishtay Mihraban”(Peaceful Angel) got a huge success. Dashni was the first female artist to make R&B songs within this album.
Now after 4 years as a Kurdish pop artist with the three successful albums she made her debute in English with a song about the women in the Middle East called “I AM (Open your eyes)”.
